Hi. I’m Talia Randall.

And um here I am throwing another podcast onto the ever-growing pile while the world burns around us. You’re welcome.

Cassette Tape Radio mashes together different elements to create a weirdo mixtape. You’ll hear anything from comedy sketches to poems and awkward stories. I might even record a conversation with my dad about the state of UK politics right now brackets – only joking.

First episodes include a rap about fax machines, an essay about the sex playlist that you make for your one-night stands and an introduction to a brand new musical genre I’ve created called ElectroKrud.

(80’s rhythm guitar + 4/4 funk beat)

Beep Beep Screech as we drink some wine.

Beep Beep Screech on the telephone line.

Beep Beep Screech so erotic

Telephonic know you want it

(ambient house music)

The dyslexic computer is where you burn cds, creating playlists imaginatively titled ‘drum n bass etc’ or ‘hip hop 3’. But the playlists you funnel the most effort into are the sex cds.

You may have come here for an education, but far more important is the clocking up of ‘life experience’ and you are diligently shagging your way to gain what the careers advisor called ‘social skills’.

Its much cheaper than doing an internship.

‘ElectroKrud’, a new musical genre…

(medievil lute)

(‘electrokrud’ in autotune)

Imagine that the entire youth population of the Home Counties are all on acid. And all of them are sharing one cigarette in a yurt on the Sunday morning of a festival

(‘electrokrud’ in autotune)

(sound of pressing ‘stop’ on a tape)

(garage music plays again)

(talking trails off)
